Hanoi brille à l'occasion du 60e anniversaire de sa libération

The 10th of October is one of the most important events of Vietnam in the year 2014 as it marks the 60th anniversary of Liberation day of Hanoi as well as the 15th anniversary of Hanoi’s recognition by UNESCO as the City of Peace.

Hanoians are still doing their daily activities but in an eager mood. From streets to television programs, a popular topic that is talking about these days is preparations and activities to celebrate this event.

Streets have been decorated with thousands colorful lights, flowers and national flags around Sword lake and central streets.

On the occasion, various cultural activities are organized in localities in Hanoi such as Book Street exhibition, Hanoi Cuisine Festival, Ao Dai Fashion week, etc.

The highlight of this year ceremony is a fifteen –minute firework which will displays at 30 venues in Hanoi.
