Clam – worm meat pie (Chả Rươi)

Clam worm is a kind of marine worm living in brackish coastal waters. Every year, in late fall and early winter, clam worms multiply in cold weather and resurface on the water. Local folks fish clam worms and bring them to markets for sales. Famous sayings are “September 20th, October 5th” or “September, clam-worm, October, rice seeds” which aims to remind everybody to do not miss such special local specialties during that time.
